INVEST IN YOURSELF
Mind, Body & Spirit

Kung Fu is an art of life. Kung Fu is an art of fighting. Why do you need an art of fighting in life? Because life is about survival.

In order to not only survive but prosper, everyone needs to be physically and mentally strong, disciplined and confident. A strong mind, body and spirit is the goal of the training provided here.

About

WHAT IS KUNG FU?

The term Kung Fu, because of media, has become a household word, but few if any truly understand what Kung Fu is. The literal translation of 功夫 Kung Fu is difficult, but can be expressed as a skill attained through a long period of hard work and dedication. This term can apply to many art forms but has become synonymous with proficiency in the Chinese martial arts. The skills developed through learning the art of Kung Fu are invaluable and a true investment in one's self. They go beyond the mere actions of punching and kicking.

Four key philosophical principles we use to teach our students are

忠 LOYALTY                  仁 BENEVOLENCE                      義 RIGHTEOUSNESS                      勇 COURAGE

These are the qualities that are embodied in the training that all our students are guided with to enrich their lives.

The practice of martial arts in today's society is about enriching one's livelihood, making that person better and therefore creating a better society. You create a peaceful, tranquil society through strong individuals. This is the concept of the word 武 mo, meaning martial. It doesn't mean "to fight." It means to be able to be strong enough to stop the fighting. In order to do this, one must first make themselves strong in mind, body and spirit.
